SYTYCD All-Star Launches the NEXT Dance Convention
The BEAT on the Street is... Courtney Galiano

Courtney Galiano
THE BEAT
THE BEAT

Celebrity dancer Courtney Galiano has officially launched THE BEAT, an innovative dance convention that takes the mind, body and heart to a higher level. She'll be sharing her passion for dance and teaching signature moves with a stellar lineup of teachers from So You Think You Can Dance, Glee, LXD, High School Musical and other prominent tours.

Dancers and studios are encouraged to visit www.thebeatdance.com to register for three exclusive first-stop cities on The BEAT tour: Long Island, NY (Jan. 20-22); Orlando, FL (Feb 17-19); and Dallas, TX (March 16-18). Ages 7 and up are welcome.

Galiano, an alum of the SYTYCD All-Stars, Disney's Camp Rock 2, Shake It Up, and GLEE Live in 3D has designed this "Ultimate Dance Experience" to include two fun-filled, jam-packed days of jazz, contemporary, hip-hop classes and more; plus autograph signings with celebrity teachers, a Saturday-night luau, and a bonus Pilates or yoga class for parents.

"Dance professionals who have inspired me are uniting with THE BEAT to work with dancers young and old who share our passion," says Galiano. "A weekend at THE BEAT will be filled with love and gratitude for dance. I grew up in a studio where my teachers made us feel like we were home; that's exactly what I want to create."

You can't BEAT this lineup of rock-star instructors:

-Stephen Twitch Boss - runner-up SYTYCD season 4, Step Up 3D, Stomp the Yard: Homecoming, LXD, SYTYCD All-Star season 7 and 8

-Allison Holker - SYTYCD season 2, SYTYCD All-Star seasons 7 and 8; High School Musical; upcoming feature film COBU 3D; performed with Rihanna

-Brooke Lipton - assistant choreographer for Glee, toured with Britney Spears, performed with Janet Jackson and Beyonce

-Ade Obayomi - SYTYCD season 5, SYTYCD All-Star season 7 and 8,  Alicia Keyes tour, danced for Beyonce and Rihanna

-William B. Wingfield - SYTYCD alum now heading up The Mɛtəˈfizikəl, a company focusing on sculpting intelligent and versatile artists (vs. just dancers) through a physical/spiritual approach.

Besides taking classes with these fantastic teachers, BEAT attendees get the chance to win an awesome array of prizes like partial scholarships to the "Hollywood Summer Tour" to participate in SYTYCD tapings, work on a professional set, dance in a music video and join a dance agency showcase.

Plus, every weekend at THE BEAT, faculty will select three students to receive a full scholarship to THE BEAT event of their choice for the following season and three runners-up will get a $100 scholarship to the BEAT event of their choice the following year. And more lucky attendees will win other great prizes and merchandise gift certificates.
